Mrs. Sylvia Ann McCauslin, 82, of Blvd. De Le Paix, passed away Saturday morning at 6:00 am in her residence following an illness.
Sylvia was born on July 14, 1920 in South Bend to the late Frank and Anna (Urbanski) Sosinski. She was a Registered Nurse and retired from Dr. Louis Sandock's Office. On May 14, 1955, in South Bend, Indiana, she married Charles J. McCauslin, who survives of South Bend.
Surviving along with her husband is their daughter Cindy (John) Verduin, of Granger, a sister Henrietta Kusnierek of South Bend, three granddaughters: Hailey Verduin, Colleen Verduin, Maureen Verduin and their grandson, Scott Verduin, all of Granger. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Alice Andrysiak and Virginia Lebiedzinski. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church, with Rev. Terry Fisher, Pastor officiating. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday in the McGann Funeral Homes, University Area Chapel, 2313 E. Edison Rd. at Ironwood., South Bend, where the parish will pray the Rosary at 7 p.m.
She was a member of St. Anthony's Parish, and the Polish Women's Alliance and was a 1942 Graduate of the Holy Cross School of Nursing.
