I would like to submit some corrected information for the photo of Jakub & Balbina (Wroblewska) Lewandowski. They are not buried in St. Mary's Cemetery in Otis but in Holy Cross Cemetery (801 Michigan City Road) in Calumet City, Illinois. Their graves are located in St. Michael Section, Block K, Lot 42. They lived the vast majority of their married life in South Chicago, Illinois where they were members of St. Michael the Archangel Parish on 83rd and South Shore Drive. Holy Cross was the cemetery where the vast majority of St. Michael's parishioners were buried. In the early years of the existence of Holy Cross the town where the cemetery was located was called Sobieski, West Hammond, and finally Calumet City. I grew up in South Chicago and my family belonged to St. Michael's and I attended St. Michael's grade school. The parish also had a high school for girls from the early 1930's until 1968. When I was in high school I had a summer job for a few years at Holy Cross.
