SOUTH BEND - Donald E. Karmolinski, 74, of South Bend, passed away at 12:01 a.m. on Wednesday, April 4, 2007, in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend. Donald was born on December 30, 1932, in South Bend, to Frank and Blanche (Jaworski) Karmolinski Sr., both of whom have preceded him in death. On January 21, 1956, Donald married Irene Chodzinski. She survives along with their children, Tina (George) Hunter of South Bend and Gary (Annette) Karmolinski of Niles; grandchildren, Justin and Erica Karmolinski, and Michelle Hunter; and a brother, Frank Karmolinski Jr. of Port Richey, FL. Donald was an extruder operator for Mastic Corp. before retiring after 25 years of service, and was a locksmith by trade. He was a United States Air Force veteran and a member of American Legion Post 357 and the Army Navy Club. Visitation will be on Saturday, April 7, 2007, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, South Bend. A funeral service will begin at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Cremation will take place, with interment at a later date in St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend.
