Carolyn Lea Wantuch, 85, of South Bend, passed away Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Wood Ridge Assisted Living in South Bend. Carolyn was born April 30, 1936 in South Bend, to the late Julius J. Cako and Rose E. (Miller) Cako. On December 1, 1956 in South Bend, she married Daniel Richard Wantuch. He preceded her in death on November 10, 1964. Survivors include a son, Anthony and wife, Sharon Wantuch of Granger; son, Brian Wantuch of South Bend; granddaughter, Michelle and husband, Max Jeffrey of Mishawaka; grandson, Daniel Wantuch of Granger; great granddaughter, Josephine Jeffrey, and many special cousins, nieces and, nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 AM Saturday, May 22, 2021 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 52552 Fir Road, Granger, Indiana 46530, with Msgr. Bill Schooler officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM until time of mass at the church. A private burial of cremated remains will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery in South Bend at a later date. Memorial contributions may be directed to the donor’s choice in Carolyn’s memory. Palmer Funeral Home - Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S.
