SOUTH BEND - Nancy Ann "Mrs. Sni" Sniadecki, 57, passed away at 7:09 p.m. on December 19, 2009, in Memorial Hospital. Nancy was born on July 28, 1952, in South Bend, to the late Louis and Therese (Sotkiewicz) Zielinski. On February 16, 1974, she married Larry Sniadecki in South Bend, who survives along with their children, Beth Anne (Nicholas) Anderson of Fishers, IN, Bridget (Adam) Oltman of Walkerton, IN, and Stephen Sniadecki of South Bend; two grandchildren, Abbey Oltman and Jillian Anderson; her three sisters, Ellen Zielinski of South Bend, Connie (Mark) Wallace of Mishawaka and Cathy (Brian) Wendzonka of South Bend; and by her dog, Penny. Nancy taught 28 years at St. Mary of the Assumption, and currently was teaching at St. Adalbert Catholic School. She was known as "Mrs. Sni" by all the kids. Nancy was a member of the SMART Club and was the Quiz Bowl coach. She was very proud of her Veterans Day program at St. Mary's. She loved teaching and enjoyed her students and they loved her sense of humor. She was a wonderful person who was a wonderful wife, mother, Busia, sister, teacher and friend. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 22, 2009, in the ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 Mayflower Road, where a Rosary will be prayed at 4:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 23, 2009, in Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society , 601 Edison Road, Mishawaka, IN 46545. For those who are unable to attend the funeral Mass, condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net.
