From the SOUTH BEND TRIBUNE, December 6, 1957:
Ernest J. Hock, of 54925 Pear Rd., died in his home Friday morning. He was born in Michigan City May 5, 1894, and moved from there to South Bend 32 years ago. Survivors include his widow, Anna, whom he married July 21, 1925, two sons, Charles A. and William E., both of South Bend; two daughters, Mrs. Sylvia Montague and Miss Angeline Hock, South Bend; six grandchildren; five brothers, Stanley, John, Emanuel, Carl and Raymond, all of South Bend, and seven sisters, Miss Cecelia Hock, Mrs. Clara Arndt, Mrs. Blanche Hayden, Miss Minnie Hock and Mrs. Martha Miller, all of South Bend, Mrs. Mary Hayden, of Chicago, and Mrs. Eva Stedman, of Columbus, Miss. He was a veteran of World War I and an employee of the Edwards Iron Works Division of the Copco Steel & Engineering Co.
