SOUTH BEND - Stephen J Szocinski , 53, of South Bend, passed away at his home after a long battle with cancer. Steve was born August 31, 1961, in South Bend, Indiana, the son of Rita (Kessner) and the late Joseph Szocinski. Steve is survived by his mother, Rita, sisters, Pamela (Jeffrey) Walters and Andrea David (Brian Kruszewski), and four nieces. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation per his request. A private service to celebrate Steve's life will be held at a later date. Special thanks to Nancy Johns, his aunt, for taking care of Steve.
