SOUTH BEND, IN - Cynthia Jane Horvath of Lakeland, FL passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018. She was 80. A native of South Bend, IN, born to David and Dorothy Stein. Cynthia moved to Lakeland, Fl 16 years ago from South Bend. She retired from NIPSCO after 40 years of service in 1997. Cynthia was an active member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Winter Haven, FL and she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Cynthia was preceded in death by her daughter, Dawn Marie Dansby, her parents, her brother, Gilbert Stein, sisters Debbie Stein and Sharon Cook. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Alex A. Horvath of Lakeland, FL, sons Alex Horvath, Jr. of Granger, IN, Drew Horvath (Shelly) of Indianapolis, IN, her daughter, Sharon Temple (Mark) of N. Liberty, IN; her brother Craig Stein of Lakeville, IN; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. An interment ceremony will be held at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Notre Dame, IN on Friday, June 29th at 1PM. Followed by a Memorial luncheon at 3P.M. at the Clay Democratic Club, Roseland, IN.
