SOUTH BEND - Cecelia H. Smith, 87, of 517 E. Haney St., died at 7 a.m. today in her home. Mrs. Smith retired from Bendix Corp. after 22 years of service. She was born Aug. 11, 1906, in Star Junction, Pa., and lived in South Bend most of her life. She is survived by two sons, James M. of South Bend and Thomas A. of Mishawaka; seven grandchildren; a great-grandson; a sister, Lillian Gerschoffer of South Bend; and two brothers, Arthur Hojara and Walter Hojara, both of South Bend. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County Inc. SBT July 22, 1994
