SOUTH BEND - Joel V. Greswick, 72, passed away at 12:22 pm on Saturday, January 14, 2012, in Memorial Hospital. Joel was born on October 10, 1939, in South Bend, to the late Henry and Veronica (Kalka) Grzeskiewicz. On September 9, 1961, Joel married Pauline (Kopczynski), and she passed away on February 2, 2011. Joel is survived by his children, Michelle (Vince) Rightley, Greg Greswick and Brian (Eleanor) Greswick; two grandchildren, Cole and Claire Rightley; sister, Patricia Wright; and a brother, Michael (Evelyn) Grzeskiewicz. A generous & caring husband & father, Joel enjoyed life. From college tuition to family trips, to helping out, Joel was encouraging us to learn and grow, always; he will be missed. Joel honorably served his country in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Association. He worked for United Airlines for many years and then at the U.S. Post Office. He enjoyed traveling with his family and golf. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a funeral liturgy will begin at 7:00 pm. Services will conclude at the funeral home. Cremation will follow. Memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans, 2122 W. Taylor St., #104, Chicago, IL 60612. Condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net.
