SOUTH BEND - Helen F. Jablonski, 93, formerly of Bertrand Street, passed away at 9:11 p.m. Sunday, December 26, 2010, in the Healthwin Specialized Care Facility. Helen was born on September 8, 1917, in South Bend, to Michael and Blanche (Pacala) Jablonski, and was a lifelong resident. She retired from A.M. General where she had been employed for 17 1/2 years. She had also been employed with the Bendix Missile Plant in Mishawaka. Survivors include her niece and nephews, Donald H. (Christine) Jablonski Sr., Karen A. (Paul) Rafferty and Kenneth M. (Joyce) Jablonski; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Mark J. Jablonski, Paul D. (Angie) Rafferty Jr., Diane (Michael) Gibbons, Kathleen (Jason) Gladden, Brian D. Rafferty and Renee C. (Doug) LaShure; and her cousins, Doris Ann (Dr. Bart) Saucelo, Darlin Burke and Sharon Tarr. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Blanche Jablonski; two brothers, Henry and Joseph Jablonski; and by her great-nephew, Donald H. Jablonski Jr. Private graveside services will take place at a later date. There will be no visitation. Helen was a former member of St. Stanislaus Parish. She was an avid bowler who bowled in several leagues. She enjoyed sports and gambling. Helen loved her niece and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to the Healthwin Specialized Care Facility. The Kaniewski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
