South Bend - Teresse (Tina) Schmanski, 95, passed away on Monday. Tina was born July 7, 1926 in South Bend to the late John and Mary Buczkowski. On October 2, 1947, Tina married Edward Schmanski, he preceded her in death in along with their sons, John & Robert Schmanski. Left to cherish the memory of Tina is her daughter, Peggy Cota; grandchildren, Mindy (Jeremy) Watford, Jeff Cota, Jason (Nella) Cota, Amy (Troy) VanHoveln, Scott Cota, Wendy, and Matt, & John Schmanski; great-grandchildren, Emma, Jordan, & Ella Watford, Tati & Zoe Cota, and Colin, Finley, & Lila VanHoveln. Tina was a parishioner of Holy Cross Catholic Church. She worked for St. Joseph Bank for 20 years. Tina loved all animals, especially her dogs and enjoyed feeding the birds, squirrels, and any wildlife she could. She also enjoyed gardening, canning from the garden and traveling with her husband. Tina loved spending time with her family, they brought her the most joy. Visitation will be 10:30am-12:30pm at ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, Mayflower Rd. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 1:00pm at Holy Cross Catholic Church on Thursday, December 2, 2021. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
