Edward Eddie T. Tajkowski, 70, of Elkhart, died Sat., June 22, 2013 at his residence. Ed was born on July 29, 1942 in South Bend to Edward and Mary (Starzynski) Tajkowski. On August 10, 1975, he married Sally Hibshman, she survives. He is also survived by daughters, Chris Kinnard and Rachel Rice (Rich Hershberger), both of Elkhart; sisters, Patricia Bassett of Colorado, and Janie Odiorne of Aurora, IL.; grandchildren, Amanda (Jeremy) Ramos, Alexis Hershberger, and Courtney Kinnard. Ed served as a proud member of the U.S. Army and National Guard. He was an accomplished drummer, and grew up in Baltimore where he played in various bands. Ed was an awesome Dad and amazing Grandfather. He was self employed and worked as a carpet installer.
Friends may call on Mon., June 24, 2013 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home. Services will be private. Burial will be at Rice Cemetery.
