MISHAWAKA - Walter S. Kwiatek, Sr., 82, of Williamsburg on the Lake Apartments, died at 4:36pm Monday in St Joseph’s Medical Center, South Bend, after an illness. Mr. Kwiatek retired from South Bend Plastics Co. He was born December 29, 1910, in Chicago and lived in Mishawaka most of his life. On September 2, 1935, in South Bend, he married Clara Giszewski. She survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Joan Kaizer and Diane Lee, both of Mishawaka, and Betty Johnson of South Bend; a son, Walter Jr. of Milwaukee; 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; and a sister, Anna Wozniak of South Bend.Services will be at 1pm Thursday in St Anthony de Padua Catholic Church. Burial will be in St Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9pm Wednesday in St Joseph Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be said at 6pm, and one hour before services in the church.
