GRANGER - Jeffrey M. Jankowski, 49, residing in Granger, passed away at 11:35 pm, Wednesday, February 2, 2011 in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka. He was born January 6, 1962 in South Bend, IN to Richard and Miriam (Myers) Jankowski, who survive. He remained a lifelong resident of the area. Jeff earned both his bachelor of arts degree in 1984 as well as his law degree in 1987 from the University of Notre Dame. He was the South Bend Deputy City Attorney as well as an attorney with Diamond & Diamond for nineteen years each. He was a member of the American Bar Association, the Indiana State Bar Association and the St. Joseph County Bar Association. Jeff was a coach for Eastside Little League as well as many St. Joseph Catholic School sports teams and also an honorary coach for the MBA. He was very active with his time, talent and treasure at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Jeff also volunteered on the board for the Center for the Homeless. On October 10, 1987 in South Bend, Jeff married the former Tina Marie Bradley, who survives. In addition to his loving wife, Tina, and parents, Richard and Miriam Jankowski of South Bend, he is also survived by one daughter, Erin N. Jankowski of West Point, NY; one son, Drew B. Jankowski at home; one brother, Mark "Randy" Jankowski of South Bend; one brother in law, Mark Bradley of Mishawaka; and three nephews, Ryan (Jenni) Bradley, Christopher Bradley and Jacob Bradley, all of Mishawaka. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, Saturday, February 5, 2011, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 226 N. Hill Street, South Bend. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 - 8:00 pm, Friday, February 4, 2011 at the church, with a rosary being recited at 7:00 pm. Expressions of sympathy on behalf of Jeff may be made to the Center for Hospice, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637 or to the St. Joseph Catholic Grade School Building Fund, 226 N.
