Sharon D. Kresca, 72, of Whispering Pines Apartments, Mishawaka, IN passed away at 3:10 PM Sunday, October 18, 2009 at her home, peacefully and serenely surrounded by God's grace and her family. Sharon was born on June 8, 1937 in Chicago, IL to Henry and Gertrude (Naus) Loeffler and has lived in the South Bend area since 1974. On May 14, 1960, in Chicago, IL she married Robert R. "Bob" Kresca.
Along with her husband, Bob Kresca she is survived by her daughter, Kathie Agee of Center Line, MI; two sons, Scott (Paula) Kresca of New Carlisle and Gary Kresca of Redondo Beach, CA; and seven grandchildren, Brandon, Blake and Brooke Kresca, and Megan, Jillian, Kristen & Connor Agee. Her parents, Henry and Gertrude Loeffler and her brother, Frederick "Rick" Loeffler all preceded her in death. Sharon was a grateful member of ALANON; a member of Hilltop Lutheran Church, South Bend; a member of Golden Gang and the Red Hat Society. She was gifted and artistic. Everyone loved her; she was a great listener. Sharon was full of beauty and charm and an amazing mother and grandmother. A special thanks to Dr. Method and Dr. Hall and their staff; as well as to Maria and Brett of Hospice for their wonderful loving care. Memorial services will be held at 1:00PM Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave, South Bend. Rev. Frederick Pfotenhauer and Rev. William Hoeger, pastors of Hilltop Lutheran Church will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services on Saturday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Sharon Kresca may be made to The Center for Hospice & Palliative Care, Inc., 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637.
