SOUTH BEND - Shirley Ann Bella, 80, passed away on June 24, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. Shirley was born in South Bend, IN on November 4, 1933 to John L. & Helen (Simon) Horvath. Shirley was a 1951 graduate of Central High School and worked for Charles Cole and Sons, Architects and Engineers, and was a member of the Cathedral of St. Matthew. Shirley married Ron Bella on May 28, 1960. Ron and Shirley just celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary. Shirley is survived by her husband Ron, daughter Johna (Christopher F. Parker) and son Christian, along with her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Robert and Rosemary Bella. Shirley was a proud and devoted daughter, wife, mother, homemaker and caretaker. The family asks that Shirley be kept in your prayers. There will be no visitation. A Memorial Mass celebrating Shirley's life will be set at a future date. Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel is assisting the Bella family with arrangements. Published in South Bend Tribune on June 25, 2014
