SOUTH BEND - Elmer R. Zsedely, 57, of 534 E. Ewing Ave., died at 9:02 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph's Medical Center after an illness. Mr. Zsedely retired in January 1990 as a truck driver for Advance Transportation Co. He was born Feb. 12, 1934 in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident. On April 3, 1954, in South Bend, he married Jacqueline Edwards. She survives with five daughters, Maryanne Benn of Sarasota, Fla., Marlene Eichorst and Christine Mazurkiewicz, both of Mishawaka, and Diane Potts and Lisa Banasiewicz, both of South Bend; 11 grandchildren; a sister, Sandra Sobieralski of Mishawaka; and a brother, Victor Zsedely of Mishawaka. Mr. Zsedely was a member of Teamsters Union Local 364. Services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
