Michael A. Kubiak, 213 N Brookfield St., died at 1am today in Memorial Hospital after an illness of three days. He was born in South Bend September 24, 1883. He married Martha Mnichowski 52 year ago in St Hedwiges Catholic Church. She survives. Mr. Kubiak was employed as custodian at the Bendix Local Union Hall for 15 years, retiring two years ago. Also surviving are two sons, Stanley A. and Raymond; two daughters, Mrs. Henrietta Mesaros and Mrs. Irene Garber; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren, all of South Bend; two brothers, Casimir and Stanley Kubiak, both of South Bend; and three sisters, Mrs Antoinette Lodyga and Mrs. Agnes Bella, both of South Bend, and Mrs. Helen Meuninck, of Mishawaka. Friends may call after 7pm today in the Kaniewski & Son Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10am Wednesday in St Stanislaus Catholic Church with Rev. Sigmund Jankowski, CSC, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Mr. Kubiak was a member of the Modern Woodmen.
