SOUTH BEND - Michael Joseph Bolka, 48, passed away at 1:00 pm Wednesday, August 3, 2011 in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka. He was born on May 21, 1963 to the late Bernard J. and Patricia (Brehmer) Bolka in South Bend, and remained a lifelong area resident. Michael was a 1981 graduate of St. Joseph High School and then attended Ball State University. He previously worked for Cloud Brothers in South Bend. Michael was a big fan of Notre Dame, the Cubs and Indy and Nascar Racing. He is survived by three sisters, Mary (Mike) Bieganski of Granger, Ann (Chuck) Kelderhouse of Roswell, GA and Carolyn (Doren) Michael of Grand Island, NE; two brothers, Bernie (Peggy) Bolka of Cassopolis, MI and Tom (Joan) Bolka of Herndon, VA; eleven nieces and nephews; and four great nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am Saturday, August 6, 2011 in Christ the King Catholic Church, 52473 SR 933, South Bend, IN 46637. Graveside services and burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may visit with the family from 9:30 - 10:30 am Saturday in Palmer Funeral Home - Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend.
