SOUTH BEND - Joseph W. Toth, 83, passed away Friday in his residence. Surviving are his wife, Yong Toth of South Bend; daughters Kristy (Walt) Botich of South Bend, Sharon (Ray) Gordon of Osceola, Marcia Toth of North Miami Beach, FL, and Nancy (Bernie) Roney of Oakdale, PA; 4 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and a brother Emil Toth of South Bend. Funeral services will be at 5 pm Monday, in the Zahoran Funeral Home. Family and friends may call from 3-5 pm Monday in the funeral home.

SOUTH BEND - Joseph W. Toth, 83, passed away at 2:00 am Friday, June 24, 2011 in his residence. Joe was born on March 17, 1928 in South Bend to John A. and Margaret (Abraham) Toth. He graduated from Riley High School where he played football and was a World War II Navy veteran. He retired from Uniroyal after 32 years and also had been employed by Studebaker. Mr. Toth enjoyed going to the cottage, hunting, fishing and was an avid sports fan. On March 28, 1979 he married Yong "Kim" Tok who survives. Also surviving are 4 daughters, Kristy (Walt) Botich of South Bend, Sharon (Ray) Gordon of Osceola, Marcia Toth of North Miami Beach, FL, and Nancy (Bernie) Roney of Oakdale, PA; 4 grandchildren, Brian (Julie) Gordon, Melissa Grall, Wally Botich III and Joe Botich; 3 great-grandchildren, Seth Grall, Trent Gordon, and Graci Gordon; and a brother, Emil Toth of South Bend. Joseph was preceded in death by a son Joseph Toth; a sister Sister M. Loretta Toth F.D.C., and two brothers John Toth and Peter Toth. Funeral services will be conducted at 5:00 pm Monday, June 27, 2011 in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 Kemble Avenue. Family and friends may call from 3-5 pm Monday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Center for Hospice Care or Our Lady of Hungary Church.
