SOUTH BEND - Ludvina Lorraine” Pietraszewski, 93, passed away on Monday, April 23, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Ludvina was born October 23, 1924 in South Bend to the late Matt and Victoria (Klosowski) Jezioski. On August 24, 1946 in St. Adalbert Catholic Church, Ludvina married Aloysius Pietraszewski; he preceded her in death on February 5, 2001. Ludvina is a preceded in death by 5 brothers & sisters. Survivors of Ludvina include her children, Phillip (Roberta “Bobbie” ) Pietraszewski of Mishawaka, James Pietraszewski of Lake City, FL, John (Nancy) Pietraszewski of Glenwood, IL, Clarice (Kenneth) Cwidak of South Bend, Michele (Mark) Torzewski of South Bend, Ann Marie (Marion) Kruk of South Bend, Sharon (Glenn) Suarez of Redondo Beach, CA, Karen (Dominic) Rappelli of Dowagiac, MI, Renita Epple of Phoenix, AZ, and Marty A. (Gloria) Pietraszewski of Hazelcrest, IL; 27 grandchildren; 20 great- grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; precious companion, Alexander Kloski; sisters, Mary Ann Beyer and Claire (Donald) Noyer all of South Bend and many nieces and nephews, and good friends, Sister Anthony and Chris Holvoet. Ludvina worked for the Raco Corporation where she was a machine operator for 17 years. She was a volunteer at the Sanctuary of St. Joseph. Ludvina was also a member of ZB Falcons, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary #357, St. Adalbert Rosary Society & Sisters Auxiliary, Daughters of Isabella, and the Harvest House of St. Adalbert & Christ the King. Ludvina enjoyed drawing, painting, sewing, baking, writing poetry and playing Euchre. Most of all, Ludvina's family was very important to her. Visitation for Ludvina will be held 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Thursday, April 26, 2018 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. with a Rosary to be prayed at 4:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Friday, April 27, 2018 in St. Adalbert Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
