MISHAWAKA - Monica C. Otolski, 88, passed away Saturday afternoon, November 3, 2007, in Fountainview Place of Mishawaka. Monica was born November 9, 1918, in South Bend, a daughter of the late Walter and Stella (Swietala) Nowacki. She grew up in South Bend and spent most of her adult life in Mishawaka. Monica was employed at Ball Band (Uniroyal) until retiring in 1969. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mishawaka. Monica married Henry "Hank" Otolski on August 25, 1937, in South Bend and he preceded her in death in 1987. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Agnes Osmanski and Sister Angelitta Nowacki; and three brothers, Joe, Steve and Henry Nowacki. Monica's surviving family includes two sisters, Florence Zielewski and Alice (Norman) Makielski, all of South Bend; and many nieces and nephews. Friends and family may gather from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Tuesday in Thallemer, Goethals & Wells Funeral Home, 503 W. Third Street, Mishawaka. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 225 S. Mill Street, Mishawaka, with Rev. Terry Fisher officiating. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Memorials may be given to the charity of one's choice.
