South Bend - Slate Anthony Sulentic, 26, passed away at home on Wednesday, March 31, 2021. Slate was born June 7, 1994 in South Bend to Steven Sulentic and Christina (Pankiewicz) Torres. Left to cherish Slate’s memory are his mother, Christina Torres of South Bend, IN, father, Steven Sulentic, Jr. of South Bend, IN, and step-father, Gonsalo Torres, Jr. of South Bend, IN; sisters, Kala Sulentic of Indianapolis, IN, & Delilah DeDario of South Bend, IN; brother, Dominic DeDario of South Bend, IN; paternal grandmother, Donna Sulentic of North Liberty, IN; maternal great-grandmother, Seweryna Szymanski of South Bend, IN; maternal Uncles, Edward (Jennifer) Pankiewicz of Mishawaka, IN & John Pankiewicz of South Bend, IN; and a long list of cousins that will love and miss him immensely. Slate was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Lester & Bernice Pankiewicz of South Bend, IN, maternal great-grandfather, Eugene Szymanski of South Bend, maternal great-grandparents, Clem & Irene Lyczynski of South Bend, IN, paternal grandfather, Steven Sulentic Sr., of North Liberty, IN; and paternal uncle, Michael Sulentic of North Liberty, IN. Slate graduated from Penn High School in 2013. He worked for Lippert Components and Walmart. Slate was a talented online gamer. He helped teach his younger siblings how to play. He was a music lover, listening and writing his own. Slate also loved to spend time with his siblings. He was a very kind, calm, loving, and giving brother, son, and person. Slate was a friend to most people he met. Visitation will be 2:00PM - 7:00PM, with a funeral service beginning at 7:00PM at ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, Mayflower Rd.
