SOUTH BEND, IN - Frank Stec Sr. former resident of South Bend, IN passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 8th. He was a kind man of few words, but his life experiences made him more like a walking history lesson. Born in Poland in 1926 he witnessed and lived through Nazi occupation before immigrating to the U.S. after WWII . He took great pleasure in raising his family and had a true understanding of God's gift of nature as evident by his love of the outdoors and animals. His days were filled with helping on his son's farm that he loved . He leaves his wife of almost 65 yrs. Trudi and sons Frank (Kathy) , Ed (Stephanie) and daughter Emmy (Rick). He was a grandpa to seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Published in South Bend Tribune on Apr. 16, 2017
