SOUTH BEND - Jeanette A. "Janet" Luczkowski, 85, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away at 5:55 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2015, in Sprenger Health Care of Mishawaka. Janet was born on May 17, 1929, in South Bend, to Casimir and Ann (Bogunia) Graczyk, and was a lifelong resident. She had been employed at the University of Notre in the Dining Hall and as a seamstress with Wilson Brothers in the mid-1940s. On February 7, 1950, in St. Casimir Church, she married Walter C. Luczkow-ski, who preceded her in death on August 6, 1989. Janet is survived by her daughter, Linda Nevelle of South Bend, Indiana; her son, Ryan (Sheryl) Lucz-kowski of South Bend, Indiana; two grandchildren, Nicole Nevelle and Neil Luczkowski; two sisters, Betty Geiger of South Bend, Indiana, and Sandy Royce of Indianapolis, Indiana; and her son-in-law, Tim Nevelle of Mishawaka. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, April 13, 2015, in St. Casimir Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive. Janet was a member of St. Casimir Parish and Senior Citizens Club. She enjoyed dancing and Polka music. The family wishes to thank Tim Nevelle, Great Lakes Caring, and the staff at Sprenger Health Care of Mishawaka for their loving care of Janet.
