Thomas Lee Frey, 74, formerly of Granger, Indiana passed away Monday, April 2, 2018 at Southfield Village, South Bend. Thomas was born on September 28, 1943 in Lincoln, Nebraska to the late Raymond Frey & Marjorie Powers and has lived most of his life in the South Bend and Granger area. He was a Union Carpenter and an active volunteer for the St. Joseph County Special Olympics and Civitan International and attended St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church, South Bend. He enjoyed golfing and Notre Dame Football. On June 15, 1991 at Hilltop Lutheran Church, South Bend, he was married to Joyce Marie (Brunner) Frey, who survives. Thomas is also survived by his son, Thomas J. Frey of Quebec, Canada; daughters, Diane Seminary, and Terrie Frey, both of Chicago, IL; stepson Jonathan Jay Prince of Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, Canada; stepdaughter Angela (Christopher Daniel) Hunsicker of Chicago; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister. A Memorial Service for Thomas Lee Frey will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, April 7, 2018 at the Chapel at Southfield Village, 6450 Miami Circle, South Bend, IN 46614, where friends may visit with the family from 1:00 -3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph Special Olympics, 106 Lincolnway East, Mishawaka, IN 46546.
