SOUTH BEND - Dolores R. Flory, 87, passed away on Friday, July 21, 2017 in the Sanctuary at St. Paul's, South Bend. Dolores was born on October 19, 1929 in South Bend as the daughter of the late John and Eugenia (Lisiecki) Borkowski. She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Kathy Flory. Dolores was a lifetime area resident; she was employed at the University of Notre Dame for over fifteen years as an administrative assistant, retiring in 1996. She was a former member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, South Bend, St. Anthony De Padua Catholic Church, South Bend and St. Bavo's Catholic Church, Mishawaka. Dolores loved watching Notre Dame football; however, her greatest love was spending time with her cherished grandchildren. Over the years she also loved spending time at lake Michigan.Dolores was an active member in the community, volunteering with many organizations including St. Joseph Medical Center, South Bend Center for the Homeless, South Bend Historical Society, and the American Red Cross. She is survived by her children, John (Suzanne) Flory of Warsaw, IN, Aaron (Lori) Flory of Mishawaka, IN and Ryan (Julie) Flory of Olivette, MO; and five grandchildren, Nick (Kelly), Leah, Oliver, Dashiell and Meredith Flory. She is also survived by her sister, Eileen Wroblewski of South Bend. isitation will be on Tuesday, July 25th, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, IN. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, July 26th, in the Reid Memorial Chapel at the Sanctuary at St. Paul's, 3602 S. Ironwood Drive, South Bend, with burial to follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Notre Dame. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pet Refuge Inc., 4626 Burnett Dr., South Bend, IN 46614, in her name.
