ELKHART - Margaret Mary Torok, 92, of Elkhart, passed away Sunday evening, Dec. 4, 2011, at Eastlake Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born Jan. 12, 1919, in Scranton, Pa., to the late Nicolas and Agnes (Komives) Torok.

Margaret was preceded in death by her brother, John Torok, and sisters Agnes Long, Anna Orlopp, Mary Ann Cudowski, Thelma Matuszak, Elizabeth Torok, Ella Radkey and Rose Bridge. Surviving are several nieces and nephews, including Judy (John) Nowak of Elkhart and Mary (Phil) Rollie of Bristol.
Margaret worked as a legal secretary for many years. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church and the Rosary Society. She was also a lifetime member of the Women of the Moose Elkhart and an avid Notre Dame fan. She made many friends over the years and will be missed.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Billings Funeral Home, where a vigil service will be prayed at 5:45 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Rev. Bill Sullivan will officiate with burial to follow at St. Vincent Cemetery. emorials may be given to the church.
