Arthur “Art” Schmeltz, 82, of Mishawaka, IN passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2022. Art was born in Wyatt, IN on April 13, 1940, to the late Wilber and Nellie (Grise) Schmeltz. On April 6, 1974, he married the former Vickie Wilhite who survives. Also surviving are his children, Scott (Beth) Schmeltz, Tina Turner and Todd (Peggy) Schmeltz; grandchildren, Sarah (Austin) James and Emily (Matt) Haines; great grandchild, Sam James; sisters, Kay (Mark) Dosmann and Doris (Dale) Hesch; brother, Dale (Chee) Schmeltz; and sister-in-law, Monya Schmeltz. Art is preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Heather Schmeltz; grandson, Christian Turner; and brothers, Jim Schmeltz and Richard Schmeltz. The family will receive friends from 10 am-12 pm on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, IN with a funeral service to begin at 12 pm. Art will be laid to rest in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park in Granger, IN.
