Darlene Joyce Bressler, 73 years old, passed away at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at her home. Darlene was born on September 23, 1944 in South Bend to the late Loyal S. and Alice B. (Zmudzinski) Shaw. She has remained a lifelong resident of South Bend. On November 17, 1989 in South Bend, Darlene and James L. Bressler were united in marriage. James passed away on February 22, 2011. One brother, Robert E. Shaw, also preceded her in death.Darlene is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Anne Nisley of Mishawaka; two granddaughters, Brianna and Megan Case; sister, Joan E. Barrows of Canal Winchester, OH; and her brother, Dennis M. Shaw of Mishawaka. Darlene is also survived by nieces, nephews and extended family. Darlene was a former member of Milburn Blvd. Church of Christ. She worked at Osco Drug for many years as a clerk and in the camera department. Darlene was a member of the Studebaker Driver’s Club.A private service will be held at a later date. Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, South Bend is assisting the family.
