STANLEY JOHN BAZYK
July 10, 1921 - Feb. 12, 2009
SOUTH BEND - Stanley John Bazyk, 87, passed away on Wednesday, February 12th,
at 1:20 a.m. in Regency Place, South Bend. Stanley was born on July 10, 1921, in
Mishawaka, to the late John and Stella (Cegielski) Bazyk. On August 29, 1952, in New
Carlisle, IN, he married Henrietta (Rzepka), who passed away on April 6, 1993. He was
also preceded in death by a grandson, Brent Bazyk. He is survived by his son, Randy
(Terri) Bazyk of South Bend; two grandsons, Kyle and Wyatt Bazyk of South Bend; a
sister, Loretta Buszkiewicz of Pencil Bluff, AR; and by his brother, Leonard (Patricia)
Bazyk of Pencil Bluff, AR. After graduating from Mishawaka High School, Stanley
served in the United States Army, and was a machinist at Uniroyal, Dodge
Manufacturing and at Studebaker. He was a member of American Legion Post 357,
VFW Post 9820, and was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church. Visitation will
be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 16th, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S.
Mayflower Road, South Bend, where a funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 1 p.m. in
the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Gardens in St. Joseph
Cemetery, South Bend. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice. For
