Services for Kenneth V. Hygema Sr., 64, Mrs. Phyllis J. Hygema, 61, and Dennis J. Hygema, 28, of 14553 E. 3rd Road, Lakeville, who died Monday night as the result of a two-car accident on Michigan Road and 3rd-A Road, Plymouth, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Lakeville United Methodist Church. Rev. Ellwood K. Smith, pastor of the church, will officiate. Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Palmer Memorial Chapel, Lakeville, and one hour prior to services Friday in the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Marshall-Starke Development Center, Inc. Kenneth V. Hygema Sr. was born on Jan. 23, 1919 in Lakeville, and had been a lifelong area resident. On June 28, 1940, in Lakeville, he married Phyllis J. Wilson, who also died in the accident. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Jody Pittman and Mrs. Janis Ross, both of Plymouth; eight grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Erma Miller, Mrs. Treva Hoffman and Mrs. Mabel Annis, all of Lakeville, and Mrs. Fern Fritz of Bremen; two brothers, Donald of Lakeville and Ervin Jr. of Florida. He was a farmer, a member of Pathfinders Campers and attended Lakeville United Methodist Church.
