Richard Ciesiolka

LAKEVILLE - Richard "Jerry" Ciesiolka, 73, passed away at 5:38 p.m. on Sunday, October 31, 2010, in his residence. Jerry was born on July 28, 1937, in South Bend, to the late Forest and Bernice (Stachowski) Ciesiolka. He was also preceded in death by his three brothers, Leo, Danny and Bert Ciesiolka. On June 20, 1959, he married Linda (Hines), who survives along with their six children, Michelle (Chris) Robbins of Mishawaka, Susie (Rob) Smith of Mishawaka, Chrissy Ciesiolka of Lakeville, Cindy (Stacey Rosenberg) Ciesiolka of Mishawaka, Mike (Sue) Ciesiolka of Mishawaka and Steve (Jen) Ciesiolka of Mishawaka; 12 grandchildren, Lindsey and Bill Robbins, Kayla Ciesiolka, Josh and Adam Smith, Wesley and Heather Rorabacher, Megan, Tiffany, Melissa and Mori Ciesiolka, and Blake Hamman; 1st great-grandson, expected in March 2011; sisters, Patricia (Brence) Jackson of Michigan City, Barb (Tom) Gustafson of South Bend, JoAnn Bell of Mishawaka and Maryann (Jerry) Miltenberger of Elkhart; his brother, Robert (Joan) Ciesiolka of South Bend; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Jerry retired from St. Monica Catholic Church after 46 years as the parish custodian. He was an avid fisherman and horseshoe player who loved the Chicago Cubs and Bears. Friends and family may call from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 5, in the ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a funeral service will begin at 7:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to Hospice Care Center of St. Joseph County, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46628.
