Delores L. Torok, age 92 of Jeffersonville, Indiana formerly of Mishawaka, passed away on August 21, 2021. Dolores was born December 20, 1928 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Philip and Elsie Edna (Ash) Lee. On September 6, 1952, she married Charles Torok at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in South Bend, Indiana. Charles preceded her in death on January 25, 2004. Delores is survived by her children James (Mary Carlson) Torok of New York, Kenneth (Shuhui Lin) Torok of Folsom, California, and LeAnn (David) Adams of Jeffersonville, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her brothers Kenneth, Owen, Dale, Cletus and Virgil Lee.Visitation will be held from 4-7pm Monday, August 30, 2021 at Cruz Family Funeral Home in Osceola. There will also be one hour of visitation prior to the 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial at Queen of Peace Catholic Church on Tuesday, August 31, 2021. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Later in life, Delores obtained a degree in nursing and was employed for many years as a Nursing Supervisor at Elkhart General Hospital prior to her retirement in 1985. In her spare time, she was a seamstress and enjoyed sewing, quilting and making a variety of different crafts. She and her husband Charles spent the winter months in New Braunfels, Texas, where they were proud to call themselves “Snowbirds.” Most of all, Delores was a devout Catholic who attended Mass daily and dedicated her life to the Lord. She and her husband volunteered for many years to assist with the day to day tasks that were necessary at the church. Her kind and generous nature led her to help others through donations to many different charities throughout her lifetime.
