SOUTH BEND Stanislaw C. Burzynski, 67, of 702 N. Olive Street, died at 8:52 p.m. Sunday in Memorial Hospital. He retired from the South Bend Engineering Department after 26 years. He was born Sept. 4, 1920 in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident. On Nov. 29, 1952 he married the former Bernice Farrell. She died Dec. 1, 1978. He is survived by a daughter, Mary Jo Burzynski of Phoenix, Ariz.; two sons, John and Thomas, both of South Bend; two sisters, Lucille Tilman of Elkhart and Virginia Grams of South Bend; and two brothers, Chester and Louis, both of South Bend. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends man call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home where a parish rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Mr. Burzynski was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8748 and was a veteran of World War II.
