SOUTH BEND - Ruthanne Pomelee Seitz (formerly Zuber), 83, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 27, 2021, in the Sanctuary at St. Paul's in South Bend, IN. Ruthanne was born February 2, 1938, in Elyria, Ohio to the late Carl S. and Margaret (Wheeler) Pomelee. She was also preceded in death by her first husband Richard Zuber, brother Thomas Pomelee, sister Elinor Thompson, nephew Carl Thompson, son-in-law Gary Croan, and ex-husband Ronald Seitz. Left to cherish the memory of Ruthanne are her children William (spouse Tanya) Zuber, Thomas Zuber, Margaret (Scott) Savoian, Lynore Croan, and John (Amanda) Zuber; grandchildren Kyle and Ella Zuber, Joshua, Joy, Matthew, and John Zuber, Jacob Beilock, Kayla, Chloe, Aidan Croan, Harper and Sadie Zuber; and great grandchild Tobin. Ruthanne was a member of the People of Praise Christian Community, American Christian Fiction Writers, Romance Writers of America, Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in South Bend, and Faith Lutheran Church in Shreveport. Visitation for Ruthanne will take place 5:00 - 7:00 pm on Friday, June 4, 2021, at St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. with a memorial service to begin at 7:00 pm at the same location.
