Stephen Yandl, age 56, of 1621 South Taylor Street, passed away shortly before midnight Saturday in Epworth Hospital after a four days illness with pneumonia. Born in Pamhagen, Burgenland, Austria July 31, 1877, he came her 37 years ago. He leaves his mother in Austria, his widow, Mrs. Barbara Yandl; six daughters, Mrs. Hugh Williams, Mrs. Charles Kish, Mrs. Joseph Pusztai, Mrs. Domein Maes, and Helen and Margaret Yandl; six sons, John, Stephen, Rudolph, Robert, Frederick, and Raymond, all of South Bend, and a sister, Mrs. Mary Grabner, of this city. The body lied in residence, with the funeral taking place at 9:00 on Tuesday morning from St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church. Reverend Michael Oswald, C.S.C. Pastor officiated, and interment is in Cedar Grave Cemetery, South Bend.
