SOUTH BEND - Mary T. Kocsis, 88, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2015 in Wellbrooke of South Bend. Mary was born September 27, 1927 in South Bend to the late Steve and Frances (Dembinski) Gorski. On November 22, 1945 in St. Adalbert Catholic Church Mary married her loving husband of 69 years, Daniel Kocsis; he preceded her in death on August 31, 2014. Mary is also preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph, Stanley Gorski and Casimer. Survivors of Mary include her children, Diane (Tom) Zmyslo, Rosemarie (Richard) Morrison, and Ronald (Eva) Kocsis; grandchildren, Dennis Zmyslo, Tammy Boyer, Tara Zmyslo-Benedict, Thomas Zmyslo Jr., Rebecca Jerzak, Rachael Kutemeier, Nicholas Kocsis, Ron Kocsis Jr., Kelley Kocsis-Moffett and Andrew Kocsis; and 16 great- grandchildren. Mary was employed with the Philadelphia Candy Store for 24 years and Washington High School cafeteria for 17 years; she retired in 1990. Mary was a parishioner of Corpus Christi Catholic Church. She was a member of the Harvest House and Sisters Auxiliary of St. Adalbert Parish. Visitation for Mary will be 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, October 21, 2015 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. with a Rosary to be prayed at 4:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm Thursday, October 22, 2015 in Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Entombment will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice Foundation, 501 Comfort Place, Mishawaka, IN 46545, Corpus Christi Catholic Church or the charity of your choice .
