Nicholas S. Medich

Services for Nicholas S. Medich, 83, of St. Petersburg, Fla., formerly of South Bend, who died at 10:33 a.m. Friday in his home after a lengthy illness, will be at noon Wednesday at St's Peter and Paul Serbian Orthodox Church. The Very Rev. Vladimir Suka, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Zohoran Funeral Home, where a prayer service will be conducted at 8 a.m. Tuesday. He was a retired Studebaker Corp. employee.

He was born on Jan 2, 1900, in Yugoslavia and had lived in South Bend for 53 years until moving to Florida in 1970.

On April 22, 1923, in South Bend, he married Mary Ivcac, who survives. He is also survived by a son, Mike N. Medich of South Bend; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Michael Kvocka of Couumbus, Ohio; two stepbrothers, Michael Medich of San Diego, Calif., and Mark Medich of Las Vegas, Nev. He was a member of the Serbian National Federation Lodge 174.
