SOUTH BEND - Frank A. Kati passed away Sunday, February 9, 2014. He is survived by his wife Clara. Frank was born April 7, 1917 to John and Gizella Kati. He married Clara (Nadolny) on May 30, 1941 in South Bend, Indiana. They have one daughter, Deborah Wahman, one granddaughter, Jessica and one grandson, Daniel. Frank is also survived by one sister, Gizella Isselin. Frank entered the U.S. Navy in 1943 and served until 1945 on board the US Harrison destroyer during World War II. Frank worked for The Studabaker Corporation for 21 years in South Bend, Indiana, until they closed in 1963. Then, he worked for the Allied Products for 19 years and retired. Frank and Clara moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1983 to be near their daughter and grandchildren. Frank and Clara were married 72 years. An avid Notre Dame fan and loved by many, Frank will be missed greatly. Go Irish! His favorite song was "Amazing Grace." The cremation is being handled by Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home.
