Irene M. Koloszar
(June 4, 1918-March 28, 1996)

SOUTH BEND - Irene M. Koloszar, 77, of North Tuxedo Drive, died of natural causes at 4:50 a.m. Thursday in her home. Mrs. Koloszar retired in 1977, from Bendix Corp., after 33 years of service. She was born June 4, 1918, in South Bend. On Aug. 9, 1938, in South Bend, as Irene M. Wentland, she married Joseph L. Koloszar. He died April 21, 1958. She is survived by a daughter, Georgiana Weaver of South Bend; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Charlotte M. Wentland of South Bend. She was a member of Legion of Mary of St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the church. Cremation will take place, with burial in Highland Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Forest G. Hay Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County Inc.
