SOUTH BEND - Loretta Fenimore, 80, passed away on Wednesday, August 6th, at 5:55 a.m. in Hospice House with her family by her side. Loretta was born on December 29, 1927, in South Bend, to the late Adam and Harriet (Wierzbinski) Bartkiewicz. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Rita Lorence. On June 5, 1948, she marriedRobert E. Fenimore in South Bend. They recently celebrated 60 years of marriage withtheir family. He survives along with their three children, Cynthia (Mark) Beaudway of Granger, Michele (James) Reinking of Granger and Robert A. (Chrissy Beachy) Fenimore of Long Lake, MI; six grandchildren, Nicholas Spagnolo, Kyle Beaudway, Alissa Beaudway, Christopher Reinking, Amanda Reinking and Ashley Fenimore; and by her sister, Lucille Krakowski of Walkerton, IN. Loretta enjoyed spending time at t he beach with her family. She also was an avid gardener and loved animals. Feeding all the birds and squirrels that visited her back yard brought her joy. She retired in 19 85 from the J.C. Penny Department Store. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, August 8, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, South Bend. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 9, in St. Casim ir Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Gardens, St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637; or to Pet Refuge Inc., 2300 W. 6th St., Mishawaka, IN 46544.
