Dolores M. Sabo, 90, Michigan City, IN, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 8:45 am in Franciscan St. Anthony Health - Michigan City. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, March 9, 2015 at Queen of All Saints Catholic Church, 606 S. Woodland Ave., Michigan City, IN with Rev. Kevin Huber officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm -6:00 pm, Sunday at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN and from 9:30 am until Mass time Monday at Queen of All Saints Catholic Church. A wake service and time of remembrance will be conducted at 5:00 pm Sunday in the funeral chapel. She was born February 11, 1925 in Michigan City, Indiana to the late Joseph and Mayme (Putz) Wagner. On August 9, 1947 in Michigan City, IN she married George P. Sabo who preceded her on June 11, 2010. Surviving are two daughters, Gail Mathews and Lynn (Richard A.) Scott, both of Michigan City, IN; six grandchildren, Carla Shepherd, Dr. Jenelle (Jeremy) Miller, Amber (Fiance, Dave Eskridge) Scott, Abigail (Terry) Vittatoe, Zach (Paige) Switalski and Kaitlyn Scott; 14 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Kulesia; two brothers, Norman and Wilbur Wagner; and her great-grandson, J.J. Shepherd.
Dolores had worked at Vogue Dress Shop and cleaned offices at the Brewery. She member of Queen of All Saints Catholic Church. She enjoyed shopping, polka music, Lawrence Welk and loved being with her family. Her faith and church were very important to her.
