SOUTH BEND - Daniel J. Kaizer, 85, passed away at 5:20 pm, Friday, November 1, 2013 in his residence. Daniel was born January 4, 1928 in South Bend to the late Joseph and Nettie (Hoffman) Kaizer. Daniel is also preceded in death by his first wife, Martha Drabecki-Kaizer; a son, Gregory Kaizer; brother, Jack Kaizer; sister, Henrietta Wisniewski and stepson, Steve Williams. Survivors include his wife, Doris; son, Barry (Debbie); stepchildren, Richard (Sherrie) Williams and Marsha Williams; and sister-in-law, Joan Kaizer; grandchildren, Patrick (Sally) Kaizer, Jennifer (Austin) Kaizer, Christopher and Zachary Kaizer, Dawn Keiser, Carrie Keiser, Alan Keiser, Kelly LaLone, Todd Williams, Lisa Powell, and Beth Evans; and eight great-grandchildren. Daniel honorably served his country in the US Navy during World War II and was a salesperson for A & K Food Distributors. He was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church. He loved fishing, Notre Dame Football, tailgating, and travelling, especially the annual trips to Myrtle Beach with the family and friends. Visitation is 4-8 pm, Tuesday, November 5, 2013 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. Funeral Liturgy is 10 am Wednesday, November 6, 2013 in the Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at St Joseph Cemetery.
