South Bend - Michael E. Segety, 71, passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 surrounded by his family. Mike was born February 7, 1947 in South Bend, to the late Paul and Elnora (Scheib) Segety. Mike married Janet (May) Segety, she preceded him in death. Mike was also preceded in death by a brother, Paul (Vernie) Segety. Survivors of Mike include his children Rodney (Debbie Kline) Segety, George (Michael) (Connie Strang) McClung, Jessica (Tony) Bamber, and Kenzie (Dwayne) Coop; grandchildren, Kalynn & Tessa Coop, Ashley (Derek) Hankin, Travis (Kehau) Allessi, Samantha Briggs, Benjamin Borkowski; 8 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Karen Cole-Reygaert. Mike honorably served his country in the United States Marines. He retired from Molding Products. Mike was a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed bowling, working on cars especially his cougar, and spending time with his friends and family. Visitation for Mike will be 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Monday, February 4, 2019 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. A Memorial Ceremony will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 in the Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
