Anthony M. Lane

Anthony M. Lane, 79, of 2822 Erskine Blvd., died at 3:55 p.m. Saturday in his home. He was a guard at the former Studebaker Corp. and retired from AM General. He was born Nov. 17, 1908, in South Bend and had lived in the area all of his life. On Nov. 17, 1939, in South Bend, he married the former Goldie Zubrits, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Sharon Switalski and Linda Wieczorek, both of South Bend, and Julie Rutledge of Schoolcraft, Mich., two sons, Thomas N. of Fort Wayne and Michael of Mishawaka; eight grandchildren; and a brother, Joseph of South Bend. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Matthew Cathedral. Cremation will follow. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday in Zahoran Funeral Home, where a rosary will be said at 7 p.m.
