SOUTH BEND - Murl Avgerinos, 88, died peacefully in her beloved home on August 26, 2015 with her daughter, Mary, by her side. She grew up in Benton Harbor, Michigan with her mother, sister and three brothers and came to South Bend at age 29. Here she married Nicholas Avgerinos and was co-owner of the Miracle Ear Hearing Aid business for 35 years. Murl was a member of the Saint Andrews Greek Orthodox Church of which she devoted many years of loving service. She loved most her family, her home, her friends, and the beauty and preciousness of nature. Murl possessed a depth of inner strength and a caring devotion to others that words cannot describe. Though her spirit lives on in the hearts of those who loved her, we will miss seeing her beautiful face. A memorial service is being planned for October and will be announced at a later date.
