[N24247] Brian Siqueira
October 15, 1948 - April 30, 2020

Brian Siqueira lived the American Dream. He was born in India on October 15, 1948, where he grew up with his brother Nevin Siqueira and sister Lorena Siqueira. In 1970, he left friends, family and the love of his life, Maria Sodder Siqueira, to attend graduate school at the University of Notre Dame. He was taken in by hosts Armand and Jan Paluzzi and became part of their family. After falling in love with America and Notre Dame football, Brian chose to stay in South Bend to start a career in structural engineering. Most fortunately for Brian, he was able to convince Maria to travel across the world and join him. They were married at the log chapel at Notre Dame on January 29, 1972. Brian and Maria settled down in Mishawaka, where they raised Michelle (Joe)Lovechio, Valerie (Ryan) Duhn, and Barry (Jenna) Siqueira.Brian was the life of the party, and his love of life was contagious. He touched all those that knew him and always welcomed new friends into his life. He had a passion for music, leading his rock band even in his final years. He was a brilliant guitarist and a wonderful pianist. He had a great sense of humor and loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and uncle. Papa was the world’s best grandfather and best friend to Dominic, Louie, Madeleine, Charlotte, Maya and a new grandchild due in November. Brian lived his life to the fullest. He was loved by many on two continents and made the world a better place. He will be dearly missed. The mass will be lived streamed via the parish Facebook account, accessible from StMonicaMish.org. The mass will be held Monday, May 4 at 10:30 am.
