Raise Total to 19: The dead:....Ralph Gramza, 17, of 910 Harrison Avenue, South Bend
...Sunstroke Precedes Death. Mr. Gramza's death, reported today by the family, was caused by
sunstroke suffered Sunday. A physician was called in the afternoon when his condition became
serious. Death occurred at 7:15 o'clock Tuesday morning. Mr. Gramza was born in South Bend
Oct. 2, 1918, and lived here all his life. Surviving are the mother, Mrs. Rose Gramza; three brothers,
Marion, Anton and Clement, and three sisters, Miss Marie Gramza, Mrs. Margaret
Hanyzewski and Mrs. Florence Mann, all of South Bend. The body may be viewed in the home this
afternoon. The funeral will be held at 9 o'clock Friday morning from Holy Cross Roman Catholic
Church with Rev. Phillip V. Beaghan, C.S.C., pastor, chanting the high requiem mass. Interment will
be in Cedar Grove cemetery.
